Whitening Safety & Usage

Whitening Safety & Usage Guidelines

Expertwhite whitening products use carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide, a whitening ingredient commonly used in cosmetic teeth-whitening systems.

When used as directed, these products help remove stains and brighten natural teeth.

Safety Reminder

Higher-strength whitening gels should be applied carefully, only to the tooth surface or to tray compartments. Avoid contact with gums and soft tissue. Use only the recommended amount and do not exceed the recommended treatment time.

Higher-strength whitening gels should be applied carefully and only to the tooth surface. Avoid contact with gums and soft tissue. Do not exceed the recommended treatment time.

Avoid contact with gums, lips, and soft tissue. If gel touches the gums, wipe it away immediately with a tissue or cotton swab.

Using excess gel will not whiten teeth faster and may increase the chance of gum irritation.

If you have sensitive teeth or gums, consider using shorter whitening sessions or spacing treatments every other day.

How to Use Whitening Gel Safely

Whitening Gel (Tray Systems)

Place a small drop of gel (about a grain of rice) in the front of each tooth compartment of the tray.

Insert the tray over the teeth and press gently to seat it. If excess gel contacts the gums, wipe it away immediately with a tissue or cotton swab.

Remove trays after the recommended treatment time and rinse mouth and trays.

• Use for 10–15 minutes per session
• Use once daily for 10–14 days unless directed otherwise
• Do not exceed recommended usage

Whitening Pen or Brush Gel

Twist the pen until a small drop of gel appears. Brush a thin layer onto the front surface of the teeth, avoiding contact with gums. Use the LED light or allow gel to sit for the recommended treatment time.

Whitening Strips

Apply strips to clean, dry teeth. Press the strip gently so it conforms to the tooth surface. Leave in place for the recommended treatment time, then remove and discard.

Possible Sensitivity

Some users may experience temporary tooth sensitivity or mild gum irritation during whitening treatments. If you have sensitive teeth or gums, consider using shorter whitening sessions or spacing treatments every other day.

If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a dental professional.

Do Not Use If

Do not use whitening products if you:

• Are under 18 years old
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have untreated cavities or gum disease
• Are wearing braces or orthodontic appliances

If you have dental concerns, consult a dentist before use.
